Tracked Links
Give each place you share your store its own link, and see which ones bring visits and sales.
You share your store in lots of places: your Instagram bio, WhatsApp Status, a flyer. Tracked links tell you which of them actually sell. Each link is your normal store address with a short code on the end, like https://e2c.store/yourstore?src=ig-bio.
Create a link
Open Tracked links
Go to Marketing and click Tracked links under Win more orders.
Name it after where you'll post it
Type a name in Where you'll post it, like "Instagram bio", or tap a Quick fill chip: Instagram bio, Instagram story, WhatsApp Status, WhatsApp chats, Facebook, TikTok, Flyer / QR code, or Email.
Check the code
The Code fills in from the name (for example instagram-bio). You can change it. Codes use letters, numbers, and dashes, up to 32 characters, and each code can only be used once in your store.
Choose where it opens
Opens can be your home page, All products, or any active product, service, or event.
Create and share
Click Create link. Your link appears under Your links. Click Copy to paste it into your bio or a message, or QR to download a QR code for print.
Read the report
Your links shows each link's results for the period you pick (last 7, 30, or 90 days, or the last 12 months):
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Visits | Store visits that started from this link. Bots aren't counted. |
| Orders | Orders placed by buyers who came through this link |
| Sales | The value of those orders, in your store currency |
| Converts | Orders divided by visits |
Sales only include orders that weren't cancelled or refunded. Unpaid and failed orders aren't counted either.
Other sources
Below your links, Other sources lists traffic you didn't create a link for:
- Product share images from Share a Product, for example "Share a product: Instagram post".
utm_sourcelinks from ads or newsletters. A link with?utm_source=newslettercounts the same as?src=newsletter.- Deleted links. Their past visits and orders stay here.
How a sale gets credited
- A visit is credited to the link the buyer arrived on.
- If a buyer opens more than one of your links before ordering, the order goes to the last one they used.
- If a buyer leaves checkout and comes back through a cart reminder, the order still goes to the link they first came from.
Tracked link results only show on this page. The Referrers card in Analytics still counts visits by website, so most tracked-link visits from apps show there as Direct.
Limits
- Up to 100 tracked links at a time. Delete ones you no longer use to make room.
- Deleting a link stops it being reported here. Past visits and orders move to Other sources. Create a link with the same code again and it comes back with its history.
