Announcement Bar
Show a short message across the top of your store, like a sale, free shipping, or holiday hours.
The announcement bar is a thin strip across the top of every page of your store. Use it for news buyers should see first: "Free shipping on orders over $50 this week", "Closed for Diwali, orders ship on the 5th", or a new collection.
Open Marketing
In your admin sidebar, click Marketing and scroll to Announcement bar.
Write your message
Type it in Message (up to 140 characters). The preview on the right updates as you type.
Add a link (optional)
Enter a page of your store, like shopall, or a full address starting with https://. When there's a link, the bar shows an arrow and the whole bar is clickable. Links to other websites open in a new tab.
Pick a colour

With Custom, the form tells you whether your colours are Easy to read or Hard to read. Colours that are hard to read can't be saved.
Set a last day (optional)
Pick a Last day and the bar takes itself down after that day ends, in your store's timezone. Leave it empty to keep the bar up until you turn it off.
Turn it on and save
Switch on Show on my store and click Save announcement. You'll see "Your announcement is live on your store." Buyers see it on their next page load.
The bar is hidden at checkout and on the order confirmation page, so it never distracts a buyer who's paying.
What buyers see
- The bar sits at the top of every store page except checkout.
- Buyers can close it with ×. It stays closed until they close their browser. If you change the message or link, it shows again, even for buyers who closed it.
- It scrolls away with the page and doesn't follow buyers down.
