Reviews
How buyers leave verified reviews, how ratings are calculated, and where to read your reviews.
Reviews on E2C come only from real buyers. Anyone can see them on your product pages, but a review can only be written by someone who bought that item from you.
How buyers leave a review
Start from the product page
On a product (or service) page, the buyer opens the Reviews tab and clicks Leave a Review.
Verify the order
On the Verify your Order page, they enter their Last Name, Email and Order Number exactly as on their order, then click Add a Review. The details must match an order from your store that includes that product.
Rate and write
They rate the product from 1 to 5 stars on Quality, Price and Value, and write a summary (up to 100 characters) and a review (up to 350 characters). All fields are required.
Who can review
- Only buyers whose order is far enough along. The order must be Shipped, Delivered or Complete (or Refunded, Cancelled, Returned or Closed). Orders that are still pending, confirmed, processing or ready for pickup are told "The order is not yet completed to leave a review."
- Each order can review each product once. A second attempt gets "A review already exists for this product."
- For pickup orders, review links open up once you click Mark Order As Complete.
To get reviews flowing, mark orders Complete promptly after delivery or pickup, and remind buyers that they can review from the product page using their order number.
What gets published
- Reviews go live immediately. There's no approval step.
- Each review shows the three star ratings, the summary, the review text, the date, and the reviewer's first and last name as entered at checkout.
- A product's overall rating is the average of all its reviews' Quality, Price and Value scores. It updates as soon as a review is posted.
Reading your reviews
Open Reviews in the sidebar (under GROW). By default you'll see All Reviews across your store, newest first, with:
- your overall rating out of 5 and the number of reviews
- a breakdown of 5-star to 1-star reviews
- each review's name, stars, date, summary, text and product
To see one product's reviews, type its name in the search box, pick it, and click Search.
