Closing Your Store
How to close (deactivate) a store or your account, what happens to your data, and how to come back.
There's no self-serve "delete store" button in the dashboard. Stores are closed by the E2C support team on request.
Just need a break? You don't have to close your store. You can hide individual products, services, or events (Deactivate) so buyers can't see them, and turn them back on later. Your store, link, and history stay as they are.
Requesting a closure
Contact support
Submit a ticket from Help → Support in your dashboard, or email [email protected] from the email you log in with. See Support.
Tell us what to close
Include:
- the store name and store link (
e2c.store/your-store-name) of each store to close - whether you want to close only that store, or your whole account (your login)
Before you send it
- Finish or refund any open orders, and reply to buyers waiting on you.
- Export anything you want to keep, such as orders, payments, and event attendee lists. Use the export options on those pages.
- If you use Stripe or PayPal, your account with them is separate. Closing your E2C store doesn't close it, and payouts already in progress are handled by them.
Only the store owner can request a closure. Collaborators can't close a store they don't own.
What happens when a store is closed
- Your storefront goes offline. Your store link, product pages, and order tracking pages show "page not found".
- It disappears from E2C's marketplace (browse pages and search) and from search engine sitemaps.
- Nobody can open it in the dashboard, including you and your collaborators. It's removed from everyone's store list.
- Your store name and link become available for someone else to use.
- It no longer counts toward your 3-store limit.
- Getting-started emails stop for that store.
What happens to your data
Closing a store deactivates it. It doesn't erase it. Orders, products, customers, and payment records are kept for compliance and record-keeping, and are not automatically deleted after any period of time. If you need something specific removed, explain this in your request to support.
Closing your whole account
If your login is closed (not just a store), logging in shows:
This account has been closed. Please create a new account to continue.
Your email can then be used to sign up again, but a new signup is a fresh, empty account. It doesn't bring back the old store.
Reopening a closed store
Ask support from your login email. A closed store can be reactivated with its data intact, as long as its store name and link haven't been taken by another store in the meantime.
