Customers
See who has checked out from your store, and understand how customer records are created.
Open Customers in the sidebar (under MANAGE) to see the View Customers list for your store.
What's in the list
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Name | The first and last name the buyer entered at checkout |
| Their email address | |
| Contact | Their phone number, if they gave one |
| Created | When the customer record was created |
You can search and sort the table. For full addresses and order history, open the orders on the Orders page or use Export Orders, which includes the name, email, phone and shipping address for each order.
How customer records are created
Buyers on E2C don't create accounts. Every checkout is a guest checkout. A customer record is saved from the billing details when the buyer places their order. For Stripe card payments, this happens just before the card payment is confirmed.
This means:
- Buyers whose card payment failed or was abandoned (their orders show as Payment Failed or Aborted) can still appear in your customer list.
- A buyer who comes back in a new browser session gets a new record, so regular customers can appear more than once.
- If a buyer changes their details while still checking out, their record is updated instead of duplicated.
Customer details are captured for fulfilling orders. If you want to email customers about promotions, make sure you have their consent and follow the anti-spam laws where you and they live.
